english bulldog tails

Question
My question is ,I have an english bulldog (11 weeks) that has a tail that is not cork screw or straight. It is both. His tail is about 4 inches in length. Will it grow longer as he gets older. I know your not supposed to dock their tails, but it looks odd. Do A.K.C. registered bulldogs have tails like my dog. I cant seem to find website that has pictures of bulldogs with different tails. Im concerned that he might have an abnormal tail, although it is healthy looking in appearance and easy to clean.

Answer
I love the tail you describe. I refer to it as a "question mark(?) tail. They are still considered a screw tail but not a "tight tail" as you see in the show ring which have all sorts of health issues associated with them. This is perfectly normal. Bulldogs may also have tapered tails, all of which are perfectly acceptable. The tail will not grow any longer, only in proportion to the dog. Docking tails is a no-no.
