QuestionHello Maria
I have a 11 month old english bulldog with a yeast rash under his chin and neck... I've tried everything from ACV in his water to Acidophilus ( 1am-1pm ) Antifungal cream ect. I just started NuVet after reading your posts... I feed him Taste of the Wild canned food( Grain Free ) and add a little cottage cheese for his coat... NO table scraps... He have been on this program for 2 weeks now and its not helping the rash... He have always been on a grain free diet... What can I do to help this?
Thanks
AnswerHi Jr, Poor little bullie kid! I would continue long term ( at least 3 months) with the Acidophilus ( 1 billion CFUs) - Just 1 x per day.
Next - under this chin use some Witch Hazel. This can be found at any pharmacy. Place some water and then a few drops of Witch Hazel on a cotton ball. Just dab this area 1 to 2 x per day for about 10 days. ( just dab and don't rub).
NuVET should do this trick! Helps to get rid of the excess yeast and fights off allergens that are hitting your baby. I bet it is more Environmental Allergies than food realted. ( just a guess on my part)
Taste of the Wild is a good food! You can get the Dry kibble in grain-free and place the Wet canned food on top. Just 1/2 of the canned per day on top of the dry food.
YOU can also buy Innova EVO or Wellness Core grain-free treats.
Sounds like you are doing a great job. Sometimes it can take 30 days to see results.
Give this boy at least 2 NuVETs per day for the first 3 to 4 weeks. After that, you can drop him down to 1 per day - long term.
