OEB showing signs of aggression

Question
I have a 9 mos old Olde English Bulldogge.  We have just completed the first phase of obedience training, and will soon start the second phase.  Our thinks he owns me.  If he is on my lap, he will growl at anyone who comes near.  On three separate occasions, with three different people, he has jumped towards their face, and snapped...just as they were saying hi and attempting to pet him.  Each time, he has been on a leash.  I am terrified he is going to bite someone.  What can I do about this.  I do plan on talking to the obedience trainer this week.  I have small children of my own and many visitors...including children of all ages.

Answer
Hi Jo:  wow, this is a problem.  Yes, you need an obedience trainer.. You dog has territorial aggressiona and YOU are the object of the aggression, as you already know.

Yes, with some good training ( one-on-one), this can be reversed.

Sorry, you need to get personal help right away...

Wish I could be of more help... There is just too much to do and say with this one..

BEST of luck on this!
