hook worms

my american bull dog is 10 weeks old and is very sick with diahrea, and vomiting i brought her to the vet and they gave me medicine to settle her stomach and gave me medicine to treat the hook worms but i cant give her the medicine until she stops vomiting.when she starts eating i can give her the medicinebut she is still very ill, lethargic and looks very sad is there any thing i can do ?thank you

This puppy must be loaded with worms in order to be this badly affected. Hook worms are very debilitating for puppies. It will take her some time to get on her feet. Just give her bland food for a while, maybe some scrambled eggs and cottage cheese with rice. You will probably have to worm her more than once in order to get rid of the worms totally.  Make sure you do the follow up fecal exams for at least a couple of months.
