Question
I THINK OUR 10 MONTH OLD PUPPY IS SHOWING SIGNS OF PANO, HOW LONG DO
THESE SYMPTOMS TYPICALLY LAST? AND DO THEY SOMETIMES APPEAR TO COME
IN GO IN A MATTER OF HOURS?

Answer
You first have to determine where the limp is coming from; shoulder, hip, knee, or foot. If it appears to be coming from a shoulder or hip, it's probably pano especially if it comes and goes quickly and moves from one area to another.

If it's coming from the knee or patella, you may have something else going on.

Keep the dog reasonably quiet for a couple of weeks. No rough housing, crate rest and leash walking only. See if you notice any difference at all. If it's pano, not much will change.

And yes, it can come and go within hours, but that's unusual.
