English Bulldog puppy size

Hello.  I just bought an English Bulldog puppy (male) and I was wondering what the approximate size should be.  The breeder said that the dog was about 8 weeks old (born March 9, 2007), however the puppy (and the other 5 pups from the same litter) only weigh about 4-5 pounds.  He is about a foot long from tail to nose and about 5 1/2 inches from the ground to his shoulder.  He has most of his baby teeth, but he seems a bit small.  Is this a normal size?  Will he grow up to be an average sized dog?

Answer
It sounds like the litter may have been stunted either by illness or parasites or something.  This is very small for entire litter.  You puppy may or may not develop fully.  

I would have a complete physical done including fecal exam to be sure that he's on the right track.
