Question
my 2,5 year old english bulldog have a whitish-yellow discharge from his penis.as i read from articles it seems like smegma.i am trying to deal whit it for 1,5 years but my vet just says its normal. My dog lives indoor so every where he sits get dirty. Because of his anatomy he cant lick and clean it. İs there a way to prevent this liquid.I have another question too...i think my dog produces too much testesteron. He always jumps to legs and female dogs.İ copulate him twice but he insists on his behavior. Maybe it is a related problem with smegma. İs castration a solution???

Answer
Sebnem,

Yes, having your bulldog neutered, would help with the second problem.  Although many times dogs will still have the mating instinct, it should reduce the intensity.

I am not familiar with your first problem of smegma.  I know that some males just produce more, but I don't know how to decrease the amount produced.  I don't know if neutering will help, but it would be a great  place to start.

Neutered dogs make much better pets for the reason you have discovered.

So, I would recommend having him neutered and see if it helps the problem of over-production of smegma.  If not, you might want to see a specialist.
