pregnancy???

i have a 2 yr old female frenchie and a 3yr old male frenchie i want to breed them do i have to wait for her next heat which would be her 3rd or could i just take them to the vet for artifical insemination at any time??? and also how long is a dog pregnant for???

I would wait for her third heat as Frenchies aren't always the best parents. Are you prepared to handle puppies should she reject them after a c-section?  Have you ever bottle fed puppies before?  What if you lose her in the surgery?  There's a great deal to be considered before to jump into breeding.

Dogs are generally pregnant for 63 days, give or take a day or two either way. You start counting from the date of the first breeding and I generally breed 3 times, every other day, 9th, 11th and 13th.
