Breeding Bullies

Question
I have  pair of bullies. Male 3 yrs. Female 2 yrs. I am waiting to AI. What signs should I look for that the female will be ready soon? Typically how often does the female go into heat? He stands a little taller than her. Will that improve chances of reproduction without AI? Thank you Jason

Answer
At the risk of being rude, if you are no more knowledgeable than this, you have no business trying to breed.  Do you realize you run the risk of not only losing your puppies but your female too if you're unprepared?  What if you do get your female bred and she doesn't make it through the c-section? Are you prepared to bottle feed puppies every hour around the clock to save them?  What if the female comes down with mastitis? Do you know how to handle it because if you don't, your puppies will die and perhaps the female too.

I strongly suggest you reconsider this venture until you have more experience, knowledge and someone who can assist you. If you find my response offensive, all the more reason to consider it.
