Bulldog weight

We have a 4 month EBD.  Just curious about his weight.  He went to the vet Monday and he did not seemed concerned.  Our EBD is 23 pounds.  Is this average or do you think he is too heavy for his age?
He also had some spots on his skin, (felt like under the skin sores,warts). Dr. said we were bathing him too much.  We were bathing 1-2 week.  He said once every 2-3 weeks.
I really find your site very helpful.  We have read books, but I find myself asking alot of the same questions as others.  Thanks!

The weight sounds good to me. However, I'm more concerned about the spots on his skin. Bathing shouldn't do this. However, I never bathe dogs unless they get into something nasty. I would lay off the baths for a month and if the bumps get worse, he needs to go back to the vet for a skin scraping. If you see this spreading, don't wait. If you feel you have to give him a bath, once a month is plenty.
