Question
Our American Bulldog is maybe a year and a half. On his back there's an area along his spine that looks like it's thinning and in that area the pink of skin his skin shows more than usual. It doesn't seem to bother him and there are no other noticeable changes in him health, skin, or behavior-wise.

Also, on the top of his head is stained pinkish-red. But I believe that was from our other pup who would bite the top of our bulldog's head. I think it's stained old blood because it's also his in his fur, so I don't think it would have any affect on what'w wrong with his back.

Any ideas?

american bulldog allergies ; american bullie hair loss;

Hi Deborah,  American bullies have many allergies to food or environmental....
I bet your boy is having some hair thinning or loss due to allergies.
I work with many dogs of this breed and have had great luck.
Here are my suggestions for you;

1.  Give (1) 500 mg ESTER C per day - for at least 2 months.
2.  Give (1) 100 mg of Vitamin E - just 1 per day for 3 weeks...
3.  Give  (1 1/2 ) NuVET wafer skin and coat supplements per day:
HELPS to re-grow coat and fights off allergens.
NuVET is a treat that is an Immune system booster and skin healer.

I am sure the above will halp a bunch...
Wipe your bullie each day with a baby wipe - unscented only -
This will keep him clean and help to get rid of excessive dander and coat.
