crazy french bulldog

me & my girlfriend have just got a 18 month old french bulldog, we are his 3rd owners and i dont know how well he's been treated, firstly, he cannot stand dogs or children! on the lead he'll pull, bark, growl and genrally go crazy, even dogs or children on the tv gets a reaction, secondly, every now and then, when im not around he'll try and bite my girlfriends feet, from what i see when im there he's fine, she can stroke and groom him. He's not yet neutered but its happening soon

Well, now you understand why you're his third owners. First of all, the neutering is absolutely the best idea.

I would get him into an obedience class right away, even if you have to take him through 2 or 3 times so he is socialized with other dogs.  As far as children goes, that may never happen. If he's been abused or mistreated by children in the past, no amount of teaching is going to make him trustworthy.

Frenchies aren't my favorite creatures.
