Question
Hi Majorie.. Just want to say thanks for all your helpful tips in the past. I also have a housetraining question. We have just got our 10 week old bulldog puppy 4 days ago. I know that I shouldnt expect too much from her so I just want to know if the way we are housetraining her is correct. Or if it can be improved... We have blocked off a section of our spare room placed her crate there and lined in with puppy pads. She is fantastic - has taken immediatly to her crate and doesnt poo or pee in her crate at all. We feed her at 7am; 1pm and 6pm. In the morning after she pees and poops I let her out to roam about the apartment. Either my husband or I are around to watch her... but the problem is that after I let her out to roam about she usually pees/ poops after that as well... (is usually in the lounge away from the pads.... and when we have turned our back for a second!) Should I be keeping her in the puppy proofed area for longer? (or not taking her out at all?) The reason she is being trained on pads at the moment as she has only just has her second injection and I am told that she cant be outside for a week. Once that week is up I will be trainig her to go outside. Could you please give me any tips on that as well.

Your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Answer
Hi Avril - Make sure you have puppy pads in evey room of the house.
Put her on the pad when you go into a room.  That will remind her of where to go potty. Keep showing her the pads...
Yes, I understand your concern about being outside and the "shots"...

Good Luck -
Make sure you put her on a good vitamin for pup bullies - NuVET plus - get the powder supplement and mix into the food daily.
