Hi there. My name is Graham. My girlfriend and i got an american bulldog from a local animal sanctuary. She was a puppy when we got her and is now 8 months old. She has been spayed and is a very dear member of our family. Could you recommend and training we could give her? I think my girlfriend and i need some advice as the only command we have been able to teach her is "sit". She is a very loving dog but sometimes can be quite unruley which may become a problem as we are expecting a baby in 7 months. Your advice as an expert would be greatly appreciated! Thank you Graham

Formal obedience classes, yesterday, that's the answer. These dogs are great but they need direction and lots of it. You've got some catch up to do in the training area, but it's certainly not too late for her. There must be obedience classes in your area. If you have to do the class twice, that's fine too.

The key to having a well adjusted, obedient dog is consistency and patience. Put in the work now before your baby comes and she'll be a wonderful family companion for everyone.
