Potion to stop eating the fence

Is there anything I can spray on the wooden fence, and baseboards to deter my 2 bulldogs from chewing (eating) the wooden fence, posts.....anything wood?  I have tried squeezing jalapenjo and cayenne pepper on the wood, but they actually seemed to like the taste. The bitter spray was useless.  Is there anything I can mix up that will be so noxious to them, but not hurt them?  They're worse that a colony of termites!!!

There isn't anything that I am aware of that will make them stop without killing them. You might try finding something they like to chew better than wood, big knuckle bones perhaps as long as they don't start a fight.

I had to replace wooden fence with chain link a long time ago.
