AnswerI can't believe that a vet would talk you into breeding your dog, personal friend or not. There's a great deal of risk not only during the c-section but after. What are you going to do if your female rejects her puppies? Are you prepared to bottle feed them every hour around the clock for weeks? What is your female develops mastitis and can't feed the puppies? She may die and the pups along with her if you don't recognize this before it spreads to every breast. If you have no experience breeding dogs at all, I strongly suggest you stick to your original plan of not breeding your female. Have her spayed and let her enjoy a long, healthy life. You would never forgive yourself if something happened to her now would you?
