Why is my bulldog getting sick?

Question
QUESTION: Hi, we have an English bulldog, he is 22 weeks old. He sleeps in our bed with us..His feeding schedule is 5:00 am, and 5:00 PM, and we feed him 1 3/4 of a cup each time we feed him.. He goes to bed around 9:fpm, and we take up his water at about 7:00pm. When we put his bowl down to eat, he eats his food in 3 minutes. About a week ago we bought some milk bone dog biscuits, and gave him about 2 or 3 a day. In a weeks time, he has vomited about 3 or 4 times in our bed. We stopped giving him the biscuits because we thought that was making him sick, well last night, he got sick in our bed and he hasn't had a dog biscuit in two days, I don't know if we are feeding him too much or if taking up his water is a bad move, or if he is eating too fast and his food insn't digesting, but he eats at 5 and he doesn't get sick until 3 or 4 in the morning..HELP I don't know what to do...

ANSWER: Hi Misty - Glad you stopped the milk bones...  Now, can you please let me know what brand you are feeding and what flavor?

We can do a few things...YOU may need to raise his feeding bowl and water. ( raised feeding station)

Also, to get him to slow down, you can put a large rock in the middle of the bowl.
This will make him have to eat around the rock.  Some people will use a good size ball in the middle of the dog bowl.  It does slow him down.  Also, I would feed him 3 smaller meals per day if possible.

Yes, you can pick up the water around 7 pm.  ( unless it is 100 degrees in your home)

Also, don't forget the NuVET vitamins  - great to help with digestion.  ( helps to balance out the belly)

QUESTION: umm he eats something from wal-mart, I can't remeber the name of it, but it is lamb and rice. I can't feed him 3 times a day, because we work..are we feeding him too much, he weighs about 36 pounds

ANSWER: Ok, your bullie needs a better quality of food... Is there a pet store in your area?  Walmart doesn't have very good brands available.  If you can get him onto Innova Puppy or Wellness Puppy, that would be much better for him.
He can eat 2 x per day - about 1 to 1/4 a cup each time.
If you feed dry kibble food, wet it with 1/8 cup of water ( very small amount ) and let it stand for  minutes)
This will help him to digest better.

I am sure the food you are feeding is full of fillers..... corns and wheat that don't digest very well.
The Innova and Wellness are much better for him.

BEST wishes..

QUESTION: The food that we give him is Maximum adult food. The reason he is on adult food is when we got him, that is what the breeder had him on, and we didn't want to change and get him messed up..What brand do you suggest??

Answer
Hi Misty - Innova is great ( puppy food until he is 8 - 9 months old) then, he could go onto the Innova Evo adult...
Innova or Wellness Formula are wonderful and low in junk fillers ....
Mostly meat based..
Found at pet stores...

BEST wishes with the baby!
