Adult Food?

Question
I have a 7 month old male bully and I was just curious if I should be switching him to adult food. Currently he is on Nature's Choice Puppy food and gets feed 1 cup three times a day. In addition, I work from 7:30-5:00 and have a pet sitter that comes at 12 everyday to feed him and let him out which has become quite costly. Can I feed him twice a day (7 &5) and stop having her come or is he two young to go 9 hours without being let out. Thanks in advance!!

Answer
I would go to two meals a day on the puppy food for now. However, 9 hours is a long time for him to be left without being able to go out. If possible, the sitter should still come in and hang out with him for a little while for his social development.

When he's about 10 months old, you can start changing him over to adult food by gradually adding adult food and decreasing the amount of puppy food in each meal over about a week's time.

Is there a doggie daycare facility you might be able to utilize? That would be your best option and probably not as expensive as hiring someone to come to your home.
