Sleeping at night

Question
I have a 6 week old english bulldog and for some reason, the first night that we got her, she slept the whole night but ever since then she is waking up about 4 times a night and whinning. She sleeps in her puppy bed in my bedroom. I line the bedroom with puppy pads so she usually relieves herself on the pads but she whines all night after that. Sometimes she whines at the door to get out and other times she whines to get into the bed with me. I work from 8am to 4:30pm so I'm really tired after dealing with her all night

Answer
First of all, the puppy should never have been placed before 8 weeks of age. Secondarily, you can expect the puppy to wake up like this for weeks.

I suggest you get a crate train her to it, and move her out of your bedroom at night. Unless you establish rules the puppy is never going to learn.

You need to give her her own space in which to feel safe and comfortable and not roaming around your room in the dark alone. She's probably as tired of it as you are. Taking on a puppy with your schedule may not have been the best choice.
