Bulldogs knee surgery

Question
Hi, I have a 9 year old bulldog which weighs about 75 pounds.  She is female, and has had 3 surgeries so far in her 9 years.  We just found out that her right knee needs surgery.  I am very worried that she won't pull through this operation.  My question is or should I say what your thoughts on this may be, is do you think I should go along with the surgery for her, or is she too old.?  What do you think or survival rate is?  I would love to get Maggies knee fixed, she loves to walk at our State Park, but I don't want to put her life in danger.  Any suggestions would be so greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your time.

Answer
I will guarantee you that if you have the right knee repaired, the left one will go shortly there after.

Take some weight off her. Put her on glucosomine supplements, give her a low dose aspirin morning and night and let her live out her life as a happy dog.

I would never put a dog that age under anesthesia for something like this. She can survive a long time with a limp.
