Bulldog testing the limits

Question
My english bulldog is a little over ten months old and I've noticed a few behavioral changes within the past few weeks. She's normally a very laid back dog that never barks. But lately she's been barking at me when she thinks I'm not paying enough attention to her (and believe me, she gets plenty of attention), and once in a while she seems to go into a hyper stage where she'll literally run around the house and jump on and off the couch. She's obviously still an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog, and I understand that she is still a puppy, but I'm finding myself in unfamiliar territory when she barks like this at me. I respond by saying in a firm voice, "No barking!" but she's pretty much unaffected by this. I've heard that there is a teenager phase that many dogs go through where they test the limits and act out a bit. She was spayed two months ago and is very well socialized (she's been through obedience school and we live in a neighborhood with many dogs that she gets along extremely well with). Do you have any thoughts about this and recommendations on how to curb this behavior? Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer
This is definitely an effort to get attention. I suggest taking her back to obedience school for another round. If she's one of the "ADHD" Bulldogs, I find that they do much better when they are"entertained" in a learning environment.

She will eventually outgrow this whirlwind behavior, but not anytime soon.
