soft poopies!

Question
our old english bull dog Dutchess is around 14 weeks old.  The breeder we
got her from started her on innova dog food and we have continued that diet
for her.  Both wet and dry.  She eats 3x a day and roughly around the same
times everyday.  with the occasional table scrap.  We are good about taking
her out numerous times a day and we praise her when she goes potty
outside.  however, she still tinkles inside the house.  we tell her no and then
take her right outside.  i understand she is still young but arrrggg it sucks
cuz were trying so hard to train her.  her stool has always seemed to be on
the softer side but usually with defenition. about 3 days ago she started to
have diarhea.  we cut back on the wet food and gave her no table scraps.  its
3 days later, i took her out for her morning potty and it was still a big lump of
soft diareha.  we weren't in the house for 2 minutes and she was looking for a
place to go.  i took her outside and her poop is now almost like a clear watery
substance.  should i take her to the vet or should i try a bland diet of rice and
chicken or baby food for a day or two and see if it gets any better??  she has a
lot of chew toys and i noticed that one riped open and there are white jelly
beads in it.  could this seriously affect her health if she ate and swallowed
them?  or just give her nastie poops for a couple of days?  any advice you got
id greatly appreciate it......thanks in advance.

Answer
Off to the vet asap. Have a fecal exam done as well as a smear to rule out any parasites and coccidia. If all that comes back negative, your puppy may have an obstruction from whatever she swallowed. Your vet should be able to figure this out.

As far as house training, you have unrealistic expectations for a puppy this age. She won't be house trained for months no matter how diligent you are.  Be patient and consistent and kind. It takes over 2 years to potty train a child.  Consider yourself lucky.
