Bulldog Housetraining in Winter

Question
I am adopting a bulldog puppy and will be bringing him home on December 26 when he is 10 weeks old.  I have heard conflicted things regarding whether to potty train him outside or inside, since I live in the North East and it is between 20 and 30 degrees outside.  Are there any dangers in potty training a bulldog puppy outside?  I am afraid to start him inside with wee wee pads only to have to retrain him in the spring.  However, I don't want him to get sick if I bring him out in the cold.  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Mary - Well, try living in Alaska when it is 20 below...
You are correct in thinking the wee wee pads can cause some confusion.  Just buy him some cute little booties and bring him outside ever 2 hrs when awake.  Crate him if you are at work and put some newspaper down in his crate...( or wee wee pads)

They make all kids of booties for him.  Sorry, I know it is hard living in the No EAST and all the snow.  Just do the best you can!

BEST wishes...
