Soft Pallet issues

Question
Hello,

I don't know if my 6 month old female English Bulldog, Lucy might have soft pallet problems or not. But, last night she started making a funny noise like she was snorting and again this morning. I thought it might be phlegm, so I sprayed a bit of lemon juice down her throat, but I think she did it again an hour later or so. I called my vet and they don't treat this condition there and couldn't make a recommendation. Could you recommend a Bulldog specialist in Southern California? I want to have a Bulldog pro see her and determine whether she's got a problem or not.
Thank you!

Answer
Don't be rushing off to a vet just yet. The noise she's making sounds like a "backwards sneeze" correct?  The pallet just gets dry and sticks to the back of the throat. This isn't a huge deal.

There's probably not a Bulldog on the planet who couldn't benefit from pallet resectioning, but it doesn't mean that everyone should run out and have the surgery performed.

I don't know of any Bulldog vets in your area, but if you contact the Bulldog Club of America, I believe they keep a list of recommended vets.
