Bulldogs feet

Question
I bought a 7 mth old English Bulldog 5 days ago & have noticed when he goes for a walk he drags his feet & scrapes the front of his toes along the floor. 2 days ago after a walk, he had scraped his nail on his front poor leading this to bleed. I've kept him indoors since. He also seems to be a bit weak on his front legs occasionally. Is this common & will he grow out of it or is it something more serious? I do have the option of taking him back to the owner for a refund because the breeder said to bring him back if for any reason I am not happy. I don't want to be burdened with a dog that is going to be in & out of the vets costing a fortune I do not have. It's such a shame because he has a lovely character. Any advice would be most grateful.
Thank you in advance.

Answer
Steve,

Did your breeder mention this problem?  If not, you might want to call them ask them about it.

At this age, a problem like this should have been evident for a while.  It may not get any worse, but it is impossible to tell.

If you take him to a vet, I'm sure they will recommend surgery, but I recommend not having surgery unless there is more drastic problems.

You will really just have to decide if you want to keep him and take a chance that it doesn't get worse.  Anytime you get a dog, or any animal, you are taking a chance that something medically won't come up down the road.  Somethings just happen are are not preventable.

Hope that helps,
