Question
Hello, Last Wednesday morning I put our dog in her playpen in the morning. She showed no signs of limping. When my wife got home to let her out. She was limping in her pen. It is coming from her back right leg. I can touch it and she does not whimper at all. It may be coming from her hip because I was moving her leg around and heard some small "pops". I tried it again and no pops. My vet is aware of her limping and we decided to wait the weekend to see if it improves before bringing her in. After reading some of the answers here I think we will put her on some joint supplements for the long term. Here is a link to a video of her walking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoONxI9BUDY Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Answer
Hi Brady - thanks for the video...Good idea!  Yes, some supplements are a plus for any dog of any age.  She is cute and I love the EARS...
Ok, is do see what you are talking about - she could have a luxating patella...levels 1-2-3 do not need to be operated on...Level 4 and 5 do need surgery.  I bet she is a level 2---- supplements and rest can help a bunch.
This is just an educated guess on my part....
I would put her on some new food - just to keep her weight down/  The key to her leg and hip health is here weight and some supplements.

I would like to refer you to a new food and NuVET / NuJOINT supplements...
What food is she eating now.????
Also, I would like to start her on some oils.

By-the-way, if your vet wants to do surgery ALWAYS get a second opinion....too many times the VETs just want to cut... ( and make money at it)

GET back to me on the food and flavor you have been feeding...
OK

For NuVET and NuJOINT - see here:

I would love to see you start the problem child on 2 NuVET wafers per day / this is an Immune system booster / and healer - helps with hips and joints, too...
Wonderful product...After a month she can go down to just one per day..
Right now I would like to Boost her system with 2 per day.
VERY safe.
NuVET is great for skin, coat , hips , knees and joint health.  Bulldogs are strong little dogs and can hurt the patella-knee....when they are running.  The NuVET helps to avoid the costly knee injuries....
One knee injury can cost 1000.00 to 2000.00
Here is the ordering Info.
