When to spayed

In your opinion, when is the best time to spayed my dog. I have a 3 1/2 month old pit bull female. I have never owned a female dog before and I have been told by some to wait until after the first cycle and by others to get it done prior to her cycle.

Answer
The sooner the better for everyone involved. Definitely do not allow her to go through a heat cycle. This serves absolutely no purpose at all and in fact, will negate all the good spaying beforehand does, like eliminate breast cancer. Get it done as soon as your vet will do it.
