French Bulldog Soft Pallet Operation

Question
My french bulldog is constantly vomiting, and I believe it is due to his soft pallet. I remember when he was younger ( he is 4 years old now) the vet mentioned soft pallet operations. I belive his vomiting ( and ...snoring, grunting, seemingly difficult time breathing, etc) is probably caused by his soft pallet. How risky is surgery? Is it effective? I don't want to incur any unnecessary risks, but I would like to find a solution. Also, if the surgery is a good idea, do you have any suggestions for a good vet to perform to operation in San Francisco?

Answer
Any surgery on a Bulldog of any type is risky, but the longer you put it off, the more risk involved. Yes, it will make your dog's life much improved. Call around and seek out a vet who does a lot of this type of surgery. I'm not familiar with anyone in your area as I'm on the East coast.  Good luck.
