Question
Hello, I have a 5 month old english bulldog.  He weighs probably between 15 and 20 pounds.  He is our second bulldog and we feel that his is too small.  Our first bulldog is very small also, full grown and 40 pounds, but we remember him being much larger at 5 months.  is it possible that he is just the runt? Should we be concerned?  Any input would be appreciated.  thank you!

Answer
Hi Jessie - I love English Bullies!  Look at my web site - Little  Borris and Higgens... ( Higgens is the English boy - very overweight)-
He is on a low fat diet but he just doesn't want to exercise.
Borris and Higgens photos are here:  My boys!

Now, about your puppy - it is better to be small than too big - They will live longer if they are lighter in weight. I understand you are concerned about his health and wellness - I have a few ideas to put some bulk and muscle on this kid.

First - Please give him a good food Like Innova Puppy or Wellness Puppy - you can mix your old food ( old brand) with one of the new brands x 1 month - Do a 50/50 mix - After about 30 days- do the new food 100% .... At about 10 months old, you can put him on Innova EVO brand with no grains.

Next - a must for this little bullie is NuVET Plus Supplement - this will bulk this kid up with some good power - please give him one per day - every day - It is the best you can buy and many breeders of bullies send the pups home on NuVET Plus -
Please order here and look at the 15% off discount program on auto ship... They will send it right to your front door.
It will cost you about .55 cents per day for your baby to have the NuVET wafer treat program.
It will help to protect his legs and hips from future problems...
Make sure you mention Marie and All experts - Please give this order code 81098 / they can't sell to the public without this code.
I sure hope this helps your baby bullie!

Please let me know how he does in about a month.  Also, to develop some good muscle please do some Ball Play - the fast stops will help his legs to develop.  A good 10 minute fetch 2 x per day is great for his body development.

BEST wishes,
