cat shaking???

Question
Hello Sharon,
I have a 2 year old cat that tends to shake some times when he
sleeps. Not violently, more like he's cold, but we live in
California so I don't think that's the case. I've done some
research because I thought it might be related to dibetes, but
doesn't seem to be the case. Just wondered what your thoughts
were on this.  Thank you for your time

Answer
Hello Ali -

Your kittie is dreaming and is in a deep sleep.

Nothing to worry about, this is very normal. Sometimes cats will even cry or scratch in their sleep, although odd, they are experiencing REM sleep.

To keep your cat calm during sleep you may want to put a little Lavender Oil is his favorite resting place. This will help calm him down and ensure a peaceful sleep.

You mentioned Diabetes and thought I would let you know that I make a specially formulated tonic for pets with Diabetes. The tonic is in a glycerin base and containes 8 (eight) herbs that will strengthen digestion and absorption, moderate and maintain blood sugar level, improve cardiovascular and kidney efficiency, optimize the bodies utilization of insulin and will stimulate natural insulin production. The tonic comes with a fact sheet which includes directions for use and diet recommendations. I have a few clients currently using this with their pets and have had good results.
