tarry stool

Question
i am very worried about my dog banner.  last night he coughed up some water and it had specks of dark matter that looked like blood in it.  i checked his water bowl and found evidence of blood there as well (pinkish water, small red spatters on the rim of the bowl)  this morning he had pooped in the garage (very unusual for him) and it was black and tarry with a little mucus.  there were also some pea sized bits of material that could have been bone?  he is behaving normally, looks fine, eyes, ears, mouth and nose all normal.  he allowed me to palpitate his abdomen without reacting.
what really bothers me is i don't have the money for a vet right now, so i am wondering what i can possibly do for him.  i love him and don't want to loose him.  i am worried. is there anything i can do for him at home?

Answer
Hi Banner and Jessie;  Well, do you think he did get into some bones?  If so, you can give bread or even canned pumpkin to coat the belly.  When the bones try to pass the bread or pure canned pumpkin will PAD the areas, as the bone or object passes.

Other than that, I don't have an advice.
I hope this helps you.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays....
