Our cat not eating;

Question
Our 12 yr old cat will hardly eat but will drink water. We've taken him to the vets to be forced fed since he won't let us give him food. Blood work has been taken. His white blood cell count was high once then rechecked and it was lower. Xrays didn't show too much but vet thought possibly he had irritable bowel disease. Then he mentions possible cancer. They have tried many different anti biotics but he still will not eat as much as he should on his own. He's starting to throw up the vet food they feed him but keeps down Special Kitty canned (the little he does eat). They are wanting to take more xrays and more blood work. Homey(our cat)gets so stressed out and it's all been prodding and poking for the last 2 weeks. We are so worried about him and do not know what we should do.

Answer
Hi Tammy, I am so sorry that Homey is feeling ill.  Did they check his blood for kidney failure.
Would you like to just cook up some home-cooking cat food for this boy?
I would give him some cooked white chicken and some white rice.  Just boil the chicken and then add some boiled white rice with a little chicken broth.  SEE if he can keep that down.

I have some good and complete recipes if he manages the above feeding.
NOT too much you can do except all the you have been offering.
POOR little cat.
