Eye problems

Hi Susan,
My elderly cocker spaniel has had ongoing eye issues..mainly due to dry eye.  I'm using Genteal gel multi times a day but her opthamologist had her on an endless cycle of cyclosporin drops.  I've added a tiny bit of euphrasia (eye bright) and don't really know how much to give her.
It's Nature's Way..eyebright stem, leaf & flower..430 mg. per capsule.  I open the capsule and have been putting about 1/4 of it in her food daily.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Before I can answer you, please let me know how much she weighs and what else she eats.  Also, how long has she had the problem?  How long has she been taking cyclosporin?  I hope your vet is monitoring her kidney function, as this drug can be toxic to the kidneys.  I also hope your vet knows of any medications and herbs you are giving her apart from the cyclosporin , to be sure there are no interactions.
