Answer
Hi Shelley
I am not certain what is covered by individual pet insurance companies, but in any event, you need to get him to the vet for a thorough check-up.  It could be something simple as a pinched nerve causing a muscle spasm in the leg or the spine, or it could be more serious such as a problem with the bones or a central nervous system condition.  The sooner you have a correct diagnosis, the sooner you know what you are working with and can decide upon a treatment plan.
If you do decide to go down a natural therapies path then please get back in touch with me through my website (www.roxysworld.com.au) and I can guide you to some products and/or practitioners in your area.
Sorry I can not be of more assistance, but without a diagnosis it is impossible to even begin to guess what could be going on.
Take care,
Silva.
