Sore paw

Question
My cairn terrier's left paw has been inujred by running or stepping on something hard like a rock or stick I think.  No cut or anything inside the pads, its just sore and she wont put it down and if she does she limps.  She is 9 1/2 years old and weighs about 15lbs.  I think she bruised her paw so my question is can I give her a little aspirin for the pain?  I read another post not to give tylenol and I was wondering about aspirin and how much?  Thank you for your time.

Answer
Judy - why don't you give her some Benadryl 25 mg (1) every 10 hrs , just for a few days.... If not better, please see a vet. She could have something inside the paw pad that you can not see.  The Benadryl should take away some the the swelling and pain.

Also, in the future, I do have some great supplements if your little one starts to develop stiff joints and arthritis..
BEST wishes
