Question

Moody
I recently adopted 3 gecko/lizards from a neighbor. We know 2 of them are eyelash crusted gecko's and unsure of the other. It's tan with yellow stripes, at times I think when she is mad or unhappy she turns a dark lime-ish green and other times she looks very light pinkish/tan. She has smooth skin no bumps. I reference as a she because doesn't look like she has the male parts like the crusted geckos. I haven't even had it for 24 hrs so I'm still learning about it's colors. Do you know what type this is? I've looked at Anole's and it doesn't seem to be those. It's driving me and my daughter crazy. I look forward to your answer.

Answer
Hi Bobbie,
I think you mean the crested gecko, sometimes referred to as the eyelash gecko.  Here is a link to good info on that species.  Also, if they are both males, they cannot be housed together as they will fight to death, or one will suffer from great stress.

The other gecko also needs to be housed separately as different species have different care needs. When the care needs are different in temperatures, etc, both species will suffer if housed together. With the two species you have, there is a major difference in their temperature requirements.

Moody is a Golden gecko.  Here is a link to more info on that species.

Good luck with your new found pets.
