What snake is this?

What kind of snake is   QUESTION: We found his snake on our avaries and would like to know what kind it was. it looks like a python.

ANSWER: Where are you located?  And do you have a better pic of the head?  How big is it?

QUESTION: I live in Gympie, Queensland in Australia. I only have this picture. It head was like a diamond shape. It was about a metre and a half long.

Kayla, I have exactly one book on the pythons of Aus. and that snake isn't in it....  Crapple.  The only one even close is a pygmy and 1.5 M is way too big for a pygmy.  I am posting the contact info for Australia Zoo, I imagine someone there will be able to tell you exactly what it is easily.  Sorry I could not be of more help, BPC.
