QUESTION: Hello Kandis,

How is your baby today?
Is he eating anything for you yet?
Yes, if you have any pictures of her that would be helpful!  If she has worms or parasites, they can be treated yes, & be controlled to where it will be a low level & not bother her.
Well, I have really good calcium, but it would probably take a couple of weeks or so for you to get the calcium depending on where in Canada you live.  If you can the Zilla liquid calcium in your area, it is a pretty good product.  It just depends on how quickly you want the calcium!
You can use some baby food for Karma, that is not a problem.  I am sure that he would really like it as well.
Let me know how they are both doing!

Tracie

karma is jumping around looking for food, not touching the huge dish of kale.
vendetta is chilling on the log looking pudgy. both doing well. ill end up throwing some mealworms in the kale to trick karma in maybe eating some kale in the process.

ill probably get the zilla calcium seeing how it would be faster, which site would i get it from?
i live in grande prairie alberta. its pretty far north. following are pictures of vendetta.

ANSWER: Hello Kandis,

Vendetta looks good.  Which UVB are you using again?
I hope she starts eating soon!
You can first check the petstores up there, they may have it in stock.
Here is a company based in Canada you can order from:

QUESTION: She eats fine just I have to feed her by hand. I'm using a coil uvb.

ANSWER: Hello Kandis,

Well, as long as she is eating, that is all that matters right now.
The coil UVB wont be strong enough to give the proper exposure of the UVB emissions.
I recommend that you get the Reptisun 10 tube bulb.  You can purchase it at the same link that I gave you above.  Just look under light bulbs.  You will need to get the Reptisun 10 tube bulb but not the compact/coil lights.

Let me know how things are going.

QUESTION: also are flexariums bad to house two bearded dragons?
are ceramic heaters good or bad to heat a tank? what watt would i need for a 55g?
and if flexariums are good to house bearded dragons how would i heat one thats about 100+ gallon and could i use the ceramic heaters to heat it, if so what watt would i need for it?

Answer
Hello Kandis,

Flexariusm usually are not recommended for bearded dragons most of the time because it is hard to maintain the gradient.
If you did use one, you would need a good basking light such as a halogen light, maybe a 100 watt or so would be good, alongside of the Reptisun 10 tube bulb on one end of the tank.  The recommended basking temperature is 95-110 and the cooler side around 78-82.  The ambient temperatures should be around 80 or so, but not really any higher.
If you need to use heating for the night, you can use the ceramic heat emitters are night, but they are fine with temperatures in the 60-70 range though.  They tend to sleep a little better if they cool down a little bit.
A 55 gallon, you would still probably need a 90 watt, it just all depends on what area you live & what the room temperatures are to maintain the basking spot for him.

Let me know how it is going for you.
