QUESTION: hi there i was just wondering whats rong with my gekko iv had her for about a year now an shes alwayz been a fussy eater her tails realy thin now an im just wondering why she aint eating iv put crickets in meal worms wax worms u name it shes just fussy :( is there anyway i can get her 2 eat with out the vets bein involved i have 2 gekkos bt the ova ones fine an eating well :) can u help me by sending a email 2 me and lerring me know thanks Ryan *

What is your setup like?
Do you have an undertank heater & are you using a basking bulb along with the undertank heater?
She needs a hot spot of around 98 or so just to ensure she digests her food.
What type of substrate do you use, sand, tiles, paper towels?  
Do you have a picture of her?
How do her stools look, are they runny or normal?

Hello Ryan,

For the moment, I would go ahead & take out the chippings for reptiles, since it is loose substrate & could possibly impact your gecko.  
Try using paper towels or non adhesive shelf liner for safer substrate choices.  
What are the temperatures in the tank, do you use a digital probe thermometer, a temp gun or a stick on type of thermometer?
How is he doing today?
