i dont know what hes doing

i have had my bearded dragon for a little over a year now and lately hes been trying to get out of his home. hes been jumping up and this morning he actually got out and fell on the floor and didnt move till i put him back is this a normal behavior and hes been digging in his home till he gets to the bottom and then he just diggs another hole,agian is this normal

 Check above his vent and make sure he's definitely a boy.  Depending on how old your dragon was when you got him, I would make sure you don't have a female who has got it in her head to lay eggs.  If he is definitely a male, then I would say your boy has reached what I call the Horndog stage.  He wants out to roam and try finding those females he just KNOWS you are hiding from him, even though a yearling is still too young to mate.  
 Digging for both sexes is normal.  They love to dig.
