Hi Tracie,
I have a leopard gecko named Gloria, she has had a problem with her eyes. It has been a 2 months. I have taken her to the vet and she prescribed tobramycin 0.3% eye drop solution.  She had a shed that did not completely leave her eyes. Both eyes are swollen and cloudy. I used the drops for 2 weeks and nothing. So i ordered the terramycin, it is day two on that. What I do is give her a warm bath and then use a warm wet wash cloth and hold her and pat her down and then apply the meds into her eye. I noticed that today day 2 she has some swelling of one eye and the other has some white lining. I am apphensive on calling the vet. She is the only vet that sees herbs here where i live. She has been eating with assistance. I have been giving her Wax worms, I know spoiling but she was not eating her crickets and that is all she can really get. sorry about the long email. How long does terramycin take to see results and if it does not work what should i try next.

Thank you worried mama named Jenan

Answer
Hello Jenna,

The terramycin should start helping pretty quickly, within a few days if it is going to.  She may need an oral antibiotic possibly.
She probobly has a bacterial infection from the retained shed.
Do you have a warm, moist hide/cave for her with an undertank heater to help with humidity?

The wet wash cloth treatments are fine.  You can continue with those or you could also try warm moist herbal tea bags too.
Are you using a calcium & vitamin supplement on a regular basis, also?

Let me know how Gloria is doing.
