Question
My mountain horn lizard is not eating like he use to...i will feed him one cricket and that is all he seems to be interested in. He is losing weight also and his one eye won't open...i don't know if it has to do with the change of the season or if he is sick..if you could possible help me i will be very thankful!!!!
thanks nneka

Answer
Definitely sick.  You need to take him to a reptile-experienced veterinarian immediately.  Double check your husbandry--temperatures, humidity, and UVB light are all crucially important.  Fluorescent UVB lights should be replaced every 6 months.

Did you get him deparasitized when you first got him?  I believe most mountain horned lizards are still wild caught, and wild animals always carry parasites.  These can build to lethal levels in captivity due to reinfection.
