Answer
Hi Andrew:

I am a snake specialist but I will tell you what I know about your dragon friend.  They are funny reptiles and it takes a while for them to build up trust and become comfortable with their surroundings.  Give it a few more days and in the mean time, buy a book on dragons and read it from cover to cover.  1 piece of spinich is not going to cause much harm so I don't think you caused any problems with it.  Make sure it has fresh water 24 / 7 and get the proper food from a pet store.  If it continues to concern you, write back and send your letter to "Pam", I believe she is the best qualified to help you out.  Don't expect it to run to you like a puppy, reptiles are very independent and you become aquainted with them on Their terms.  As for crickets, they should not be the main food item and they MUST be gut loaded prior to feeding them to your lizard.

Be patient and read and then read some more.         Best of luck
