Question
Yesterday when I went to work I filled my frilled lizard bowl w water and
put in bout six large crickets. He was perfectly healthy and fine runninng
around and frilling at my hand as it enterd the cage. Then when I
returnd he was laying behind a rock but didn't move when I opned the
cage. When I moved the rock I was shocked to discover he was dead,
bloated with blood and puss ozzing out of his mouth and nose. Part of
his lip was missing probably from the crickets yet he wasn't anywhere
near rigamortis. Her was only like six months of which I owned. Him for
about two. My lighting temperature and humidity were all perfect and it
seemed perfectly healthy earlier.... what happend, what did he die from?

Answer
That's a really tough question.  What size is the enclosure?  If he was a wild caught lizard which I am presuming he was there were no doubt some internal parasites which basically overtook him.  Even if he wasn't wild caught I would suspect internal parasites.  Now then, I would also ask what were the heating and lighting parameters you had him at?  Also what size was the enclosure all of these are relative to the life of the lizard.
