the little 1 hi,i really need your help i am worried about this little creature it look's like a gecko to me but i am not sure what it is it's so tiny like the size of my pinkie i found it yesterday 8/29/10 in my back yard and i love all kind's of animal's and creature and i want to keep it i have it safe in a tank with leafs an a big rock and a big wooden branch for it to lay on and hide with water and i don't know if i should put a heating lamp on top of the screen because i am scared that it will fry him up he hasn't drank water not that i have seen and i don't know what to feed it please we need your help ASAP Thank You

Well, its not a gecko it looks like a Spiny lizard of some kind. A 10 gallon enclosure with UVB lighting and a basking spot lamp that will keep an area of the branch or substrate at about 75-80 Degrees constantly will keep him happy. Feed him three to five crickets every other day and put potato and carrot in the enclosure for the crickets. Also a shallow water dish that he can climb out of it is recommended but he should be able to soak in it as well.
