Question
This is not about a pet. I'm just trying to find out about the diet of Bipes biporus (also known as Mexican mole lizards, Mexican worm lizards, & Baja worm lizards).  I have searched and searched, but I can't find anything, exept for on Wikipedia, and I don't like to just use Wikipedia. Can you help?

Answer
Ants, termites, larvae, and earthworms, mainly.  The majority of insectivorous lizards and amphisbaenians (which is what 'mole lizards' are) are very opportunistic, and will eat anything that moves in the right size range.  I expect mole lizards would be no different.  They most likely hunt primarily by scent, since they're fossorial.  They're not very big animals.  They haven't been studied in depth in the wild.

In regards to Wikipedia: interestingly enough, when the number of errors in a set of standard printed encyclopedias was compared to the error rate on Wikipedia, they were about the same.  So Wikipedia is no worse than any printed encyclopedia set.  (Not sufficient for a scholarly paper, but usually right enough).  In some cases, if an expert has 'adopted' a page, it can be quite top-quality.  Still, it's always best to find corroborating sources.
