bump on my gecko...

Question
My gecko is about 6 yrs old and she has just developed a hard bump right
under the base of her tail.  I have been soaking her in warm water couple times
a day for 2 days and hasn't really changed much..

If you could send along a picture, that would help greatly.
It sounds like she MAY have an abscess or may be even a slight blockage that is causing some internal parts to have pressure on them.  With you saying its hard, my thoughts are an abscess and needs to be checked out by a vet. With reptiles, abscesses are not the soft, fluid filled lumps like on other animals..but are hard and filled with what can be described as little tiny bead like things.

I would still like to see a picture of it if possible. Has anything changed with her eating habits?  Bathroom habits? Activity level?
