Chinese Water Dragon Eggs

Question
Hi! I have a water dragon that we've had for 2 1/2 years. We just figured out
she's female as we just found 4-6 white eggs in her tank.  There is no other
animal in her tank (except white mites we are trying to get rid of). I thought
she couldn't lay eggs without a male.  Should we take the eggs out? Thanks for
any help!

Answer
Reptile can lay eggs without a male just like chickens.  Although many females will reabsorb the egg when there are no males.  I would strongly suggest a visit to the vet for an x-ray to make sure all the eggs have been laid.  Then give her lots of good food, calcium, and mineral supplement.
Take the eggs out, put them in the freezer overnight as a precaution and then throw them out.
