Lump on beardies leg

Question
My 5 year old bearded dragon has a lump on the inner side of his thigh. It is just under 2 cm in diameter, hard, and doesn't seem to be growing very quickly. I took him to the vets and she was quite vague and didn't know what it could be. The lump doesn't appear to be associated with the bone and isn't affecting his movement at the moment. And he is eating normally also. The vet said they could operate to remove it if I want but it might be risky considering it's not affecting his health at the moment.
Any advice what I should do for the best?

Answer
Hello Jo,

I would go get that checked out.  It is most likely it is a cyst then since it is hard & not growing much.  However, it would be a good idea for an x-ray to be done.  Did he think it could be aspirated just to see if there is any cancer or anything in it?
If it does not affect his mobility or his health, then it doesn't need to be removed.  It would be interesting to know what is in it though.
Could you post a picture of it?
