ANSWER: Hello Damien,

I am sorry to hear about your cat attacking your gecko.
You can send pictures of him, that would be fine.
You can use a diluted betadine solution to help keep the areas from getting infected.  Also, get some antibiotic ointment as well to put on the wounds also to help with infection.
The paper towels are fine to use right now with him being injured.
Is he eating anything at all right now?

QUESTION: I think he's eating he's working really hard on staying warm from lack of sand mabey
IM pretty sure he's left eye is gone because it got punctured
I was watching his stomach and it looked like his breathing was really inconsistent
Thank you  so much for all of your info

ANSWER: Hello Damien,

How is he doing today?  Have you fixed it to where your cat cannot get to him again?
Is he moving around at all?  He is very pretty.
Which eye is damaged, the left one?
Will he let you handle him any?  If he is breathing erratically, he is probably in pain.  I hope that he makes it for you.
Keep a close eye on his breathing & let me know if it changes.
You may want to consider getting some baby food into him if he wont eat after a few days or so.  I know he has got to be in pain though, so minimal handling would be best right now.

QUESTION: It looks as tho he's doing better, his left eye was the one that I asume got a poke in it
But yesterday he opens it and both eyes will show but only when the heat lamp is off
It must be sensitive because when he's walking around and I turn on the light he moves right back into his house but he does moves around a bit sticks to his heat rock....
But the tail looks good still need to put the ointment on it.
Thank you for your concerns I love that gecko most chill lizard every so calm
But he's been still beating his throat allot not as fast but still allot every time I see him
As far as eating he might not be
What baby food how do I feed it to him?
And also his left eye sense I have seen it looks quite brown all around not the same as his right eye.....

Answer
Hello Damien,

Wow so he is doing better today?  Well, that is great news.  It sounds like he may
make it through this then.
Does his eye appear to be infected or no?
How is his tail looking now?  I would continue to put the antibiotic ointment on it though as cat bites & scratches tend to get easily infected.
Maybe the eye was not damaged too badly.  You could consider trying some antibiotic ointment for his eye.  Do you have any?
You could be get a ceramic heat emitter to use for his heating for awhile until his eye is healing up.  Does he get some daytime lighting in his tank though to help him regulate his day & nighttime cycle?
I think he was breathing irregularly due to stress.  I am sure that he must have been terrified!
You can get some chicken, turkey or beef baby food to feed him.  You can get a plastic dropper or syringe to feed him with.  Give a small pinch of calcium in with it, also.

Let me know how he is doing.
